Spring Cycle + Triathlon Pink = Festival Of Cycling

Sydney’s slap-happy approach to festivals has been mentioned before, and this weekend cycling gets the treatment. On Sunday, the streets (and new cycleways) will be overrun by Sydney’s largest organised group ride, the Spring Cycle. Whether you take the 50km option starting in North Sydney, or the shorter route along the Cooks River, it ends in Sydney Olympic Park which is where the rest of the festival is taking place.

On Saturday, the Olympic Park hosts the Triathlon Pink female-only event, and there seem to be shenanigans all weekend at Monster BMX. Or, you can always just enjoy a gentle ride around the 35km of cycle paths in the Olympic Park.

Registrations for the Spring Cycle are closed, but on the day entries are still possible – Adults $60, Kids $11, Families $130. Entries for the triathlon are closed, but you can always go and cheer.
